Overview What is EDM?

In the wire EDM manufacturing process, an alloy wire suitable for cutting is used to cut the workpiece and the cutting is carried out by the electroerosion method. With the wire erosion method, you can produce deep pockets, stampings, turning tools, broaches, gears and various complex molds.

Die sinking EDM machines utilize electron migration (discharge) and shape the workpiece immersed in a dielectric fluid by abrading it. Casting molds, forging molds, or carvings and recesses for cutting tools can be produced with Die Sinking EDM technology.
